Our carriers come standard with the patent pending Alpaca Cinch, a fastening system that will allow you to carry all styles of bicycles, including recumbent, along with skis, snowboards and mountain boards, in any combination with or without protective covers. This cinch self adjusts to any article regardless of shape or size, making our carriers very versatile, and easy to use. The Alpaca Compact Carrier features two plastisol-coated pins that are properly spaced and easily attached or detached from the carrier with hitch pin clips, along with two Alpaca Cinches. This carrier is small, light weight (26 pounds), strong, and works very well. This is a great value; you get a multi-purpose carrier with all these conveniences and capabilities at the cost of a bike rack. The Alpaca Utility Carrier features plastisol-coated pins that can be easily relocated. It comes standard with a patented advanced pin fastening system, two carrier pins and two Alpaca Cinches. Many options can be added to this carrier such as additional carrier pins and Alpaca Cinches for greater capacity. A locking package for advanced locking capabilities, and taillights are also available. Choose our patented stabilizing system which can be used on either carrier, for the added advantage of less sway and rattle, and the ability to fit both 1 Ľ” and 2” receiver hitches (with optional adapter). With the stabilizing system the utility carrier gains the added benefits of coming fully assembled, folding for storage, and tipping away from the vehicle for rear door access. Choose our trailer mount with either carrier in place of the stabilizer to attach to 2-inch, 2 ˝-inch or 3-inch wide tubing. Use this mount on optional receiver extension and utilize the carrier while pulling a light trailer or boat. It can also be used to mount carriers to existing trailers for more capacity.
