Carry all Styles of Bikes
The Alpaca Compact will carry up to four conventional bikes. The width
and style of bicycle determines how many will actually fit on the carrier. The
bigger wider mountain bikes, three fit well. Recumbent bikes with the seat left
on two will be the limit. Recumbent bikes can be carried with conventional
bikes, skis, and snowboards. The more the items are spaced on the carrier the
less it will carry.
The pedals and handlebars on the bikes are the obstacles to
over come. Three bikes load easily; the fourth becomes more of a challenge
because there are so many pedals and handlebars. Once you learn how best to
load your bikes on the carrier, and which order they load best, it is very
simple and convenient to use.
